This class has been scheduled as a make-up day for those who were unable to attend our December workshop in Statesville because of the weather. It is FREE for anyone who was registered but unable to attend.
The class format is demonstration and presentation. The following topics will be presented by Jennifer DiBona:

- Surface Modeling Basics
Additional presentations will be made by Janet Jackson of Intersect. Janet may be better known as "GIS Janet" to readers of GeoWorld, Professional Surveyor and CE News through her monthly Intersect columns.

Intro to Carlson Survey

The class will be hands-on and attendees must bring a laptop and mouse. Trial versions of Carlson Civil Suite 2011 will be available for those who do not have the software loaded.
The training will cover the following topics:
- Working with points
- Field to Finish
- Raw file editor
- Surfaces
The cost for this class is $149, lunch will be provided and NC licensed engineers and surveyors will receive 8 PDH credits.
Because this is a hands-on class, there is a limit of 12 seats for this session.

Intro to Surface Modeling with Carlson Software

Intro to SurvNet & Least Squares Analysis
with Donnie Stallings

The class will be hands-on and attendees must bring a laptop and mouse. Trial versions of Carlson Civil Suite 2011 will be available for those who do not have the software loaded.
The training will cover the following topics:

The processing of a variety of projects including networks with total station data and networks that include both total station and GPS vector data
- A minimal amount of statistical theory in order to emphasize the understanding of the basic concepts of least squares and statistics as well as the reports generated by least squares programs
- The use of least squares to determine relative accuracy as defined by ALTA standards
- Blunder detection techniques using least squares
- Editing and troubleshooting the raw data files
The cost for this class is $249, lunch will be provided and NC licensed engineers and surveyors will receive 8 PDH credits.
