  Survey 2008 – Surveyors will use the point-based CAD/COGO commands extensively, since it has more of them than any other product available today. Add the one-step contouring, volume calculation, profiling and construction stakeout features built into this innovative product, and surveyors can do all their mapping and construction stakeout -- from start to finish -- without having to resort to using any other software.

  LotNet – Quickly define an entire subdivision of lots based on an outer boundary, interior ROW’s or centerlines and a simple set of user-defined rules for lot area, minimum setbacks, frontage and other key parameters.

  RoadNet – Lay out a network of intersecting roads and clean up all intersections and cul-de-sacs, horizontal AND vertical, with a single click of the “Process” button. If it’s not quite right you can easily add or remove roads, cul-de-sacs or roundabouts. Changing the vertical alignment of a road will automatically update all other roads in the network impacted by the change. You can also elevate all adjacent lot lines and/or internal pads based on the elevation of a selected feature of the road, like the edge of pavement.

  HydroNet - Full 3D road and lot design feeds directly into flow calculations and drainage design – this is the end of hand entry of runoff coefficients and guessing-game calculations of flows over surfaces. Complex calculations of surface flows are integrated with the precise DTMs created inside an AutoCAD® drawing.

• Tap extensive libraries on rainfall, inlets, manholes, outlets
• Calculate inlet intercepted and bypass flows, gutter spread and depth, pipe flow depth and velocity, and hydraulic and energy grade lines
• Get warnings for collisions, excessive pipe lengths, insufficient cover, lack of slope, excessive flow rates, and more
• Track runoff and analyze watershed – choose entire area or the watershed above a point such as a catch basin
• Design ponds, culverts, channels and outlets
• Draft sewer pipe dynamically in plans, profiles and 3D

  SiteNet – Simply define which drawing layers represent existing conditions and which layers represent proposed design and SiteNet generates each surface and calculates volumes. Apply special treatments such as topsoil stripping and placement and subgrade excavations by using closed polylines. And, new to 2008, you can apply grading rules to balance your cut and fill.
