BricsCAD on Windows

BricsCAD V26 (current release V26.2.08)
- Windows 11 (x86-64)
- Windows 10 (x86-64) is still listed but Microsoft ended Windows 10 support on October 14, 2025
- Built and supported for x86-64 (AMD64) processors only
BricsCAD on macOS
As of October 7, 2026, these are the requirements.
BricsCAD V26
- macOS 12 (Monterey) or higher, including macOS 26 (Tahoe)
- Apple silicon Macs run BricsCAD through Rosetta 2 (a native Apple silicon build is planned)
- Native Apple display hardware is supported; Retina (4K and 5K) displays are recommended
BricsCAD on Linux
As of October 7, 2026, these are the requirements.
BricsCAD V26
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or higher versions still supported by Canonical
- openSUSE builds later than April 2022 with glibc 2.35 or higher
- Fedora builds later than April 2022 with glibc 2.35 or higher
- x86-64 (AMD64) processors only
- Most NVIDIA and AMD graphics are supported. 3D hardware acceleration is not supported on Intel graphics or on laptops with dual graphics adapters.
BricsCAD hardware (all platforms)
As of October 7, 2026, these are the requirements.
BricsCAD V26
- Minimum CPU: Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5
- Recommended CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 or Ultra 9 or AMD Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9 (highest single-thread performance matters most)
- Minimum memory: 8 GB
- Recommended memory: 16 GB
- Disk space: 3 GB for BricsCAD Ultimate installed; an SSD is strongly recommended for the system drive
- Minimum display: Full HD (1920 x 1080) True Color with a graphics card with 4 GB VRAM
- Recommended display: multiple UHD (3840 x 2160) or 4K displays with a PCIe graphics card and 8 GB VRAM
Notes: on Windows most NVIDIA, AMD and Intel graphics are supported and mid-range gaming cards are recommended. Install the latest graphics drivers. For point clouds and large models, set BricsCAD to High Performance in Windows Graphics settings.

Communicator for BricsCAD V26
- Requires BricsCAD Pro or higher
- Starting with V26 the minor version must match your BricsCAD version (for example Communicator V26.2.x with BricsCAD V26.2.x)
- Hardware: follow the BricsCAD V26 requirements above (no separate official hardware specs are published)
